The annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony, which takes place in downtown Coeur d’Alene, is one of the most happy events that takes place in the city throughout the entire year. Thanksgiving Day is regarded as the official start of the holiday season because it is celebrated on November 22, which is the Friday after Thanksgiving. Hundreds of thousands of holiday lights are strategically arranged throughout the resort and floating boardwalk to create a variety of scenarios, including a dragon, an underwater palace, Santa Clause and all of his reindeer, and more.
The yearly lighting event begins with a fireworks show and musical performances before the first light is turned on.
The most unforgettable way to watch this incredible spectacle is from the deck of one of Coeur d’Alene Cruises’ vessels, while drifting on the sea under the night sky. Keep warm while taking in the full spectacle, including the fireworks display, of course, by holding a cup of hot chocolate in your hand! At this event, every member of the family will have a fantastic time together.
