Live After 5!

Live After 5!

This summer marks the fifth year for the summer outdoor music series Live After 5, and it’s been determined that its 2017 lineup is the best yet! Introduced by founders/owners Tyler Davis and his wife Ilke, there is no better way to spend a beautiful Wednesday evening outdoors than in beautiful Downtown Coeur d’Alene with family and friends at McEuen Park.

“I wanted to create an event I would take my family to,” says Tyler, the visionary behind the event. He is proud that the weekly affair is a place where the community can come together with their children to grab dinner and listen—and dance—to great live musical performances. He adds: “I’m honored to have the opportunity to host a weekly celebration of Coeur d’Alene.”

The 2017 mini music festival, which kicked off June 14, runs each Wednesday, 5 to 8pm, through September 6. Until this year, the music could be found on Sherman Avenue, but with the event continually growing since its inception in 2013—now with an average of 1,300 concert goers each week—it had outgrown the space. McEuen Park is now home to Live After 5, and the music couldn’t be sweeter. The entertainment is combined with various food vendors and cold drinks—including beer from local breweries.

Be sure to mark your calendar for the August and September acts, which include: Smash Hit Carnival (August 2), Sol Seed (August 9), The Ryan Larsen Band (August 16), Charlie Butts & The Filter Tips (August 23), Milonga (August 30) and The Powers (September 6).

Grab your lawn chairs, blankets and tents, and makes plans to attend at least one of these concerts during the beautiful, warm, sunny summer months. You will not be disappointed.

McEuen Park is located at 420 East Front Avenue. Admission is $5 (free for children 12 and younger), and tickets are available at the entrance.
