It’s easy to see why Coeur d’Alene is known as “The City of the Great Outdoors!” whether you come to visit or live in the city. Engage in FITNESS activities that are enjoyable for you, your friends, and, most importantly, your children outside to participate in. Going to the gym is not something that everyone enjoys doing. Do not waste your time by going to the gym while you’re in CDA. By putting on your hiking shoes, renting a kayak, riding your bike or placing your paddle board in the water, you can begin to prepare to become physically fit.

Outdoor training activities will provide us with more enjoyment while also allowing us to burn more calories as a group of people. Coeur d’Alene is all about having a nice time while getting some exercise. CDA is home to stunning freshwater lakes, rivers, mountains, and hundreds of miles of hiking trails, all of which are accessible by car or on foot.
Make gym days a regular affair for yourself and your friends and family. You can hire bicycles, kayaks, and paddle boards if you do not have access to your own recreational vehicles. If you do not have access to your own recreational vehicles, there are various locations where you can rent these recreational vehicles.

There are three terrific ski slopes within a short drive of downtown CDA, providing wonderful opportunities for outdoor exercise. Neither Tubbs Hill nor Mineral Ridge are particularly difficult walks, each taking only an hour or so. You and your children can take part in one of the many 5k runs that are hosted throughout the city each year. During the summer, Sanders Beach is a fantastic area to go swimming. Bicycle riders can enjoy the Centennial Trail and the Hiawatha Trail, respectively. Due to the fact that you must hike back up the hill after each sledding run, sledding on “Cherry Slope” is a fantastic way to spend a cold winter day in the mountains.
